Listening to holiday music from these fine young musicians, will certainly get you into the holiday spirit!
Many of our bands performing this year had to raise thousands of dollars to pay their way to Hollywood. For those bands from out of the area, this means raising funds for transportation, lodging and food. These are very dedicated musicians and should be commended for their commitment.
Did you know that the song "Here Comes Santa Claus" was created from the Hollywood Christmas Parade (back when it was called the Santa Claus Lane Parade)? Gene Autrey was riding his horse in the parade, and heard children yelling "here comes Santa Claus". And when he turned around, Santa was behind him waving to all the smiling faces in the audience.
