The New Buffalo Soldiers are a living historical reenactment group portraying the history of Company H of the 10th Regiment of the U.S. Army. The group was founded in 1992 and has ridden in numerous parades throughout Southern California as well as reenactment battles in Fresno and Utah. Riders are using the McClellan saddles not for their comfort, but for that of the horses. The saddles are from 1859-1874. The primary goal of the New Buffalo Soldiers is to teach the American public and school children.
