Mara Ho was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to the United States when she was four years old. At a young age, she learned to play many instruments, including piano and violin. She developed a real passion for singing as well. She performed in her college musicals as well as in the sister’s band Another Sky. Also in college, she was introduced to playing poker and has made quite a name for herself in the poker world. In 2007, Maria was the Last Woman Standing in the World Series of Poker Main Event and in 2009, she finished just one seat shy of the final table. Fans of The Amazing Race will recognize her from Season 15.
