The Porterville Panther Band from Porterville, California was the first high school band established in California. It has performed in over 45 Hollywood Christmas Parades. Other notable performances include the Winter Olympics, Arlington National Cemetery, Carnegie Hall (twice), Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center. The band has collected over 55 Superior ratings at state and national music festivals. Jim Kusserow directors the Panther Band.
