... The parade was overall a beautiful event; but after fundraising thousands of private dollars with no state school funds for music- it was VERY disappointonting that we parents could not even watch our kids perform on the red carpet unless we bought stadium seating for more money and that many of the parade performances ONLY happened ON that red carpet! We squeezed in to try to view and were shooed away then the golf carts were parked to block our limited view. A definate case of a parade afforded to the "haves" which ignored families that could not afford to pay 35 dollars per person after making the trip and pouring thousands of dollars into the local economy- hotels and restaurants etc. A family. Of 4 can't. Afford another 140.00 just to watch their kids help make the parade a success. Come on parade board!!!! n't afford another |

... I am surprised none of the actors from my main shows (Like Big Bang) are not appearing, but it's still cool. Many of the participants have been involved in shows I liked in the past, and the fact that they are in the parade also tells me they are decent unselfish folks. Who else would we want to start the Christmas season with? I think it will be neat to see Beaver Cleaver in the parade too. Who hasn't laughed along with that scooby doo over the past 60 years? The bands alone make it worth the effort, but coming all the way from Adelanto, I sure am glad we have those metrolink trains to knock out most of the driving! |

... I think it is great how all these people worked so hard to make the parage a success. It is just a shame how many actors and actresses cannot find the time to take one day out of the year, to come out and show their support fo the cummunity. They expect the community to support them all year, and yet they turn their backs on the community on this important once a year event. Sad commentary on the calibre of actors we have now and the great ones of the past. |
