I think they show like 15 minutes total of the actual parade, the rest is artists singing at the Grove, it is a shame. I guess to experience the parade as i remember it, i must see it in person. There are some things that you should not change, this parade is one of them. Thanks alot to the people who have ruined it. I have kept the tradition going with my own children in hopes that they will do the same with their children. I love the Christmas parade because it brings back wonderful memories I spent with my parents. Yes it gets crowded try to be there at least 45 minutes before and you'll find a nice spot. Don't forget the chairs, Blankets and HOT COCOA!.- (and some munchies) you and your family will have a blast. My 5 year old can't wait, we will be taking our 7 month old son for the first time too. I'm not too sure about bringing pets, although I've seen pets before.
